Our Premier series is custom quality while maintaining standard features to increase production efficiencies. All of our Premier series rifles feature Premium stainless steel Bergara barrel that go through additional honing and quality procedures that put them a step above the rest. The Premier action is designed as a two-lug system that features a separate floating bolt head to ensure contact with the lug abutments in the action.
It also features a cone-shaped bolt nose for smooth feeding of the cartridge, and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor located in the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece bolt body is stainless steel with a pad at the rear to accept the threaded-in bolt handle. The bolt head, the non-rotating gas shield, the bolt handle, and bolt shroud are fully Nitrided for extreme durability, as well as its self-lubricating properties.
This is the perfect rifle to take deep into the woods or up brutal mountains. All Premier Series rifles are guaranteed to produce groups of 1. Hop To. Joined: Jan I want to buy a new hunting rifle, and have mostly narrowed it down to 2 rifles.
I can get both for roughly the same price.
Any advice, experiences, or comments from people who have handled, shot, or used either of these guns would be great!!! This rifle will be used mostly for hunting whitetails in WI, and an occasional elk trip in Colorado. I am leaning towards in both, but if I went with the Bergara, may consider the wm also. Any help would greatly be appreciated!!!!!! Joined: Nov WV, Thank God!Reconnection of bsnl landline
Happy to have either, but the one I want is the Barrett. The Barrett is marginally better looking, but that's like saying Elisha Cuthbert is better looking than Dakota Blue Richards. WTF difference does it make? What fresh Hell is this? Don't be a Provincial Nitwit. Joined: Dec NW Alabama. Do you want a light weight rifle? I also would never buy a win mag for whitetails with a possible elk trip in the mix.
The will be plenty and you will enjoy it a lot longer. Joined: Apr Helena, MT. I'd been pondering the same thing in a 6. A coworker has a Christenson Arms Mesa 6. After a bit of research, the Barrett pushed more buttons for me. I've been waiting on scope rings for a few weeks and am finally ready to start working on some loads I would prefer to stay with a lighter rifle, for the amount of walking I do with it.
The only thing I'd change about it would be to make the mag box length long action length Nice rifle with great balance and very shootable I've only run factory ammo through it at, and It's a good rifle.
I know nothing about the Bergara so can't weigh in on it. Read More. Nightforce is such a solid combo of reticle, available elevation, glass that is good enough to shoot at the longest range you can dial. Nightforce has bullet proof construction that can handle the incidental horse rolling or some other rodeo action. The total package. Nightforce is the best I have used as far as turret feel and solid detents. I have never had one that didn't track right on and always return to zero.
Nightforce NXS is the best value for everything I need. Forums New posts Search forums.

Apr 5, 20 2 6. Hey all, I'm looking into purchasing a HMR chambered in. I can't find many reviews out there for it. Can anyone speak for or against this rifle before I pull the trigger?
Planned use for hunting deer, moose, elk, black bear and I want to have fun with it at ranges too, seeing how consistent I can get at extended ranges.
Thank you! JakeM The Nutjob.Print Thread. Hop To. Joined: Apr I am very interested in their mountain rifle. I read over their website carefully to learn all I could about the rifle.
A discrepancy that I saw was on the FAQ page, it stated that all the premier series rifles have Timney triggers. On the premier series mountain rifle page as stated by dvdegeorge aboveit states that they use the TriggerTech trigger.
An email to the factory cleared it up. All premier rifles produced in have the Triggertech triggers while older models have Timney triggers. Don't know if you have a preference or not, but there are different triggers depending on when it was made. Just throwing out there what I know.

Bergara B14 Wilderness HMR .300 Win Mag?
Now, I am wanting to get into doing some longer range shooting and have a rifle that will still do the job on a Muley or Elk. I have been eyeing the Bergara mentioned above and have seen lots of great reviews on youtube and google. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any bad experiences with this gun or Bergara as a company. Also, if there were any better suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help. Forgot to mention that I have a can coming and would like a threaded barrel.
